Five ways to employ foreign workers lawfully

After the 2017 Emergency Decree on Managing the Work of Foreign Nationals took effect on 23 June, many foreign workers returned home because they were concerned about the severe penalties.

The government subsequently used Section 44 to postpone enforcement for 180 days, until 1 January 2018.
To help employers prepare, the Department of Employment compiled details of the 2017 decree and recommended practices, summarized in five key points in the accompanying image.
