Nationality verification coordination

Nationality verification procedure for Myanmar, Lao and Cambodian workers

1. Employers obtain and complete the Myanmar nationality verification application form.
2. Employers submit the form with a copy of the work permit (pink card) or TR.38/1 to the provincial employment office or Bangkok Employment Office Areas 1–10.
3. The employment office informs employers of the date, time and location for nationality verification.
4. Employers take workers to report to the nationality verification coordination centre.
5. Myanmar, Lao and Cambodian workers who pass nationality verification receive temporary passports.
6. Apply for a visa and temporary permission-to-stay stamp at the Immigration Bureau.
7. Myanmar workers attend a medical examination at a designated public healthcare facility.
8. Myanmar workers apply for a work permit at the verification coordination centre or the employment office responsible for the employer's premises.

♦ For workplaces outside Bangkok, apply at the provincial employment office.
